Silopren™ LSR 4600 Series Liquid Silicone Rubber
IMPROVED TEAR RESISTANCE, HIGHER REACTIVITY
The Silopren* LSR 4600 series is a biocompatible liquid silicone rubber (LSR) for injection molding processes. Products in this series are fast curing LSRs that can lead to shorter cycle times. The excellent thermal stability provides resistance to a variety of sterilization methods including steam autoclave, E-beam and gamma irradiation, and ethylene oxide. This series can be considered for a variety of molded medical device components such as o-rings, diaphragms, needle-free access valves, septums, and breast pump shields, as well as infant care and consumer goods applications including baby bottle nipples, pacifiers, sippy cup valves and wearable electronics.
The Silopren LSR 4600 series is available in Shore A hardnesses of, 40, 50, 60 and 70 durometer.
More About Silopren™ LSR 4600 Series Liquid Silicone Rubber
The Silopren LSR 4600 series is a highly versatile, injection moldable liquid silicone rubber. It has good rubber-like properties and high tear resistance, which can lead to long service life at dynamic stress. In addition, it has excellent thermal stability at both low and high temperatures.
These products can be easily pigmented with LSR color pastes. The lower viscosity and higher reactivity of the LSR 4600 series enable molding of complex geometries at fast cycle times. The Silopren LSR 4600 series is an excellent candidate to consider for a wide variety of applications across many industries, such as healthcare, consumer goods, and general industrial.
