Indusil 140 Silicone
Indusil 140 silicone is an aqueous solution of a silicone polymer, modified with organic groups. It may be used as a heat sensitive coagulant for natural rubber latex and synthetic rubber latex.
At temperatures below its cloud point, Indusil 140 silicone is completely soluble in water, can help stabilize the latex emulsions. At temperatures above its cloud point, it can speed up the coagulation of the latex emulsions.
More About Indusil 140 Silicone
Indusil 140 silicone may considerably improve the speed of production in the coagulation process of latex articles, such as medical gloves, carpet backing, textile coatings.
The decrease in process time showed no detrimental impact on the mechanical qualities of the latex products generated, and it has no effect on the latex's stability below the cloud point. It cannot be easily detected by IR in the final latex articles.
Indusil 140 silicone can typically prolong the pot-life of latex compounds after mixing while also providing a narrow coagulation range of temperature to form a uniform gel and smoother latex surface finish.
It is an excellent candidate for several applications, such as:
- Aiding in the coagulation process of various latexes, e.g., natural rubber latex, PU dispersions, NBR latex, SBR latex and more
- Aiding in the stabilization of latexes
- Helping to control foam, minimize defects and increase production speed in gloves manufacture
- Helping to improve production speed in the coagulation process of carpet backing
- Heating sensitive coagulant for textile, paper use latex
