Silwet L-7280 silicone surfactant is frequently used in a variety of applications because of its ability to reduce surface tension and rapidly spread on difficult-to-wet surfaces. Silwet L-7280 silicone surfactant can work synergistically with many conventional surfactants providing a greater degree of spreading than the individual surfactants alone.
Silwet L-7280 silicone surfactant may provide properties that may be achieved using a fraction of the typical concentration levels of organic or fluorocarbon surfactants.
Silwet L-7280 silicone surfactant should be used at 0.05-0.5% of the final formulation. Lubricating and antistatic requirements tend to need the upper end of concentration levels; surface tension effects are usually imparted by using the lower end of the range.
