Silwet 625 Super Penetrant Provides Enhanced Performance vs. TAE

Unlike TSA Super Spreaders, which can inhibit uptake of glyphosate into grasses, Silwet 625 super penetrant can actually help overcome this problem by enhancing uptake of glyphosate and other soluble liquid (SL) formulations.

Most trisiloxane super spreaders are excellent wetting agents; however, super spreading is not always beneficial to herbicide uptake and performance. Super spreading can reduce the concentration of herbicide per unit area and, in some cases, limit herbicide uptake into grasses. Evidence suggests that enhanced cuticular penetration of herbicides can be achieved with organosilicone adjuvants that offer good deposition, but don’t super spread, and thus results in higher concentration of herbicide/unit area. Silwet 625 super penetrant can provide outstanding uptake with an optimal balance between deposition, spreading and penetration.

Because of the distinct composition of Silwet 625 super penetrant, improved efficacy can be achieved at use levels up to 4 times less than a conventional TAE.
