With a 30-year heritage of innovation and expertise in protective hardcoats, Momentive Performance Materials has developed a range of protective coatings for use on metallic surfaces for automotive exterior applications. Our direct-to-metal hardcoats can provide resistance to abrasion, corrosion and chemicals (for example, acids and alkalis ranging from pH 1 to >13.5) to help aluminum alloys or anodized aluminum maintain their rich metallic appearance as roof rails, window trim, belt lines and other exterior applications.
